Colocation Firm Equinix Opens Second Data Center in Hong Kong

November 10, 2011 — Colocation provider Equinix announced on Thursday it has opened the first phase of its second International Business Exchange data center in Hong Kong. The company invested $63 million in the data center, bringing its total number of data centers to 99 facilities across 38 strategic markets around the world.

IBM to Open Two Cloud Data Centers in Japan

July 14, 2011 — IT giant IBM announced on Thursday it has expanded its cloud computing services for customers in Japan and in the Asia Pacific region with the opening of a new IBM Cloud Data Center in Japan and a dedicated data center for LotusLive, IBM’s cloud collaboration service. The new data centers will extend IBM’s cloud delivery network of cloud computing centers.
