Digital Realty Trust Acquires London Data Center for 21 Million

July 28, 2011 — Data center operator Digital Realty Trust announced it will be expanding its data center space in London, UK with a $21 million data center, according to a report by Data Center Knowledge. Though it did not disclose the exact location of the data center, it did say that the facility is 130,000 square feet, features 8 MW of power capacity and can support the development of five 1.44 MW data center PODs.

BATS Europe to Relocate to Equinix LD4 Data Center in London

July 15, 2011 — Data center services provider Equinix announced on Friday that European multilateral trading facility BATS Europe has signed a long-term contract to relocate the BATS Europe trading platform to Equinix’s London LD4 International Business Exchange data center.
