Web Host Liquid Web Donates 10000 to The Perl Foundation

September 23, 2011 — Web hosting provider Liquid Web announced on Thursday that it has made a $10,000 donation to assist in the development and maintenance of the Perl programming language. This announcement comes a few months after Liquid Web’s cloud computing division, Storm on Demand, updated its cloud servers with more RAM.

Data Center Firm Colocation America Donates Dedicated Server to Mepisorg

July 26, 2011 — Data center provider Colocation America announced on Tuesday that it has donated a dedicated server to Mepis.org for its SimplyMEPIS ftp site. According to the press release, SimplyMEPIS is a ready-to-use desktop operating system based on Debian Linux. Colocation America says it donated a dedicated server to promote Linux operating systems and open source platforms.
